Netley Royals

All I want for Christmas is.... Well, if I was compiling a list at the match today v Testwood it would start with
A big bag of Fairness. Just to play on a football pitch where both sides are treated the same.
I'd like the Referee appointments Sec to send us a Referee that would clamp down on, swearing and foul play on the field.
I'd like to play a team that uses and understands the FA's RESPECT CAMPAIGN. Just imagine a manager of that team taking one of his players off because he thinks the lad is behaving badly. After all as managers we have a duty to coach the boys to play the game in the right way. ( Was Testwood ever going to do that today?no chance)
I could go on but I'm not going to let these teams ruin my Sunday. I've been to Tyro meetings and we all get told we must do this and do that, but sadly when it comes to policing the teams and these rules nothing seems to be done.
So do we join them and sink to to a win at all cost and ignore the Respect Campaign? No we don't and we never will.
At Netley we teach the lads the right way to play and behave. It's been hard for the boys at times as they need to toughen up when they face these problems on the pitch, but in return the officials have a duty of care to these boys.
We lost to a well organised team today that got lucky with 2 goals and scored 2 more. We had more than enough chances to win the game but came up against a goalkeeper in great form and well done to him.
At times we pulled them apart with some great football.
Having to nurse Bricky and Jack through the game was hard as both carrying injuries. With Birdy banned and Aiden ill we only had the one sub but the effort put in today was fantastic and we were always in the game.
After Christmas Santa may be bringing us a top striker and we will give every team a good game.
Well done to Ross today for winning the Man Of the Match award, but I would like to say a big well done to all the boys for not giving up.

We travel to Testwood School this Sunday to play Testwood Utd. Kick off is at 10am so please be there at 9.15am
Hopefully we can bounce back from our performance against them last week. 1st 10 mins I thought we played them off the pitch and we created 3 good chances and scoring one. they then got into the game and pushed us back and we defended poorly, not clearing the ball and making to many mistakes. Lets work hard at training this week and put theses mistakes right.
We are training this week at Hamble school at 4.45pm to 6pm
